About the Artist
A Mother’s Day surprise paint night with her children, where she finally got to be on the other side of the easel.
Esin Degirmencioglu is the artist behind Drawn to Her, a body of work that celebrates women through expressive oil pastel figure drawings. Based in Highland Park, NJ, she has maintained a daily pastel streak since May 2024, an unbroken practice that reflects both discipline and passion for creative expression.
A graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City, Esin blends her fine arts background with a deeply personal lens: the female gaze. Her work is rooted in lived experience and LGBTQ+ representation, exploring beauty, intimacy, and empowerment.
Through layers of color and texture, Esin reflects identity in its many forms: moments of clarity, the scars of challenge, and the embrace of self-acceptance. What began as a journey of rediscovery has grown into Drawn to Her — a space of resonance for women, LGBTQ+ communities, and anyone drawn to authentic representation.
As a mother of two, Esin brings an additional perspective to her work, shaped by resilience and transformation. Her art honors the complexity of becoming and the power of being seen at every stage of life.
